大豆半纖維素并不會(huì)被人體直接吸收,而是通過(guò)人與動(dòng)物腸道微生物的發(fā)酵后被人體利用。歐盟專家組開(kāi)展了老鼠膳食毒理學(xué)試驗(yàn),并未發(fā)現(xiàn)不良反應(yīng)。大豆半纖維素?zé)o基因毒性。日常膳食暴露水平基本可以忽略不計(jì)。

Following a request from the European Commission, the EFSA Panel on Food Additives and Nutrient Sources added to Food (ANS) was asked to deliver a scientific opinion on the re-evaluation of soybean hemicellulose (E 426) as a food additive. Soybean hemicellulose is not absorbed intact, but is extensively fermented by the intestinal microflora in animals and humans. No adverse effects were reported in a 90-day dietary toxicity study in rats at the highest doses tested of 2,430 mg/kg body weight (bw) per day for males and 2,910 mg/kg bw per day for females. Furthermore, soybean hemicellulose is not of genotoxic concern.
