France reported new outbreaks of H5N8 Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza （HPAI） in the Department of Lot et Garonne.
In view of the outbreak, AVA will extend the temporary restriction on the importation of poultry and poultry products to the Department of Lot et Garonne with immediate effect. Heat-processed poultry products, which meet the requirements for heat inactivation of AI virus, will not be affected. For import from unaffected areas in France, additional certification is required on the veterinary health certificate as listed on Annex 1.
