25%的參與者對海鮮污染問題表示擔心；23%的參與者擔心農(nóng)產(chǎn)品；還有4%的參與者則關(guān)心乳制品的食品安全問題。
該調(diào)查還顯示，10%的受訪者聲稱，他們在過去6個月內(nèi)，因為吃了某種食物而生??；此外，超過30%的受訪者表示，他們相信主要是由于墨西哥灣原油泄漏事故，在過去的三個月中海鮮污染增加。
根據(jù)美國國家電視臺，更多的人說：食品公司要提高質(zhì)量控制系統(tǒng)，而不是要求更多的檢查、監(jiān)督、或更嚴厲的懲罰。

Meat: Americans' #1 Food Safety Concern
by Alexa Nemeth | Aug 02, 2010According to a national survey of more than 3,000 participants conducted for NPR by Thomson Reuters, more than 60 percent of Americans are worried about food safety, with 51 percent expressing particular concern over the safety of the nation's meat supply.
25 percent of the survey participants expressed concern about seafood contamination; 23 percent worried about produce; and 4 percent were concerned about dairy products.
The survey also revealed that 10 percent of those surveyed claimed to have been made ill by something they ate within the last six months. Additionally, more than 30 percent of respondents said they believe seafood contamination has increased over the last three months, mainly due to the oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico.
According to NPR, more people said food companies should improve quality-control systems, rather than calling for more inspections, oversight, or stiffer penalties.
